Twitter users reacted to Donald Trump’s post about fake news.
On Sunday, the POTUS reiterated his campaign against fake news in a tweet. However, it only backfired since online users attacked him due to the post.
“People are disgusted and embarrassed by the Fake News Media, as headed by the @nytimes, @washingtonpost, @comcast & MSDNC, @ABC, @CBSNews and more. They no longer believe what they see and read, and for good reason. Fake News is, indeed, THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
Several online users reacted and said that Trump only consider reports “fake news” when it’s critical or against him. Others claimed that they are “disgusted and ashamed of the POTUS.”
“Ppl are disgusted & embarrassed OF YOU, #DumbDonald ! How do you expect to serve 4 more years when we can't stand you during the 1st 3 yrs? Think about that! Give it up dude. You're going to prison,” @70sChickadee commented on the POTUS’ post.
“News isn’t fake just because it’s critical of you. Alternative facts are not real unless supported by evidence. Trump’s war isn’t with the MSM, it’s with the facts,” @ChrisJZullo noted.
Zullo added that Trump and Fox News are the real “fake “news. Meanwhile, political host Brian Tyler Cohen asked Trump if Fox News can’t be trusted because based in its poll, Trump is behind Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Michael Bloomberg, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, and Amy Klobuchar.
Another user also shared a different poll from Fox News asking the people if Trump has abused his power, obstructed congress and committed bribery. Based on the poll results, the majority said “Yes” to the three questions.
Meanwhile, another called Trump “fake president.” A different user said that Trump is the “enemy of the people.”
In related news, Trump committed another blunder on social media. The POTUS showed support to Sammy’s Mexican Grill, which according to him was in Phoenix, Arizona. However, the restaurant was actually located in Tucson according to The Guardian and the two cities are 113 miles apart.
