Donald Trump’s Melania, Jackie Kennedy Onassis Comparison Sparks Mixed Reactions On Twitter

Donald Trump compared his wife Melania to Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Twitter users have mixed reactions to it.

In 2019, the president compared his spouse to former first lady Jackie O after he defended his reason to change the Air Force One paint job which was devised under the ex-FLOTUS’ watch in the 1960s. Trump felt that Melania is the present Jackie O.

“You know the baby blue doesn't fit with us,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” while noting that he wanted to replace it with a darker navy and the gold stripe along the aircraft with red.

“That was Jackie O and that's good, but we have our own Jackie O today, it's called Melania. We'll call it Melania T.”

Trump's comparison between the current FLOTUS and the ex-FLOTUS resurfaced as online users shared their thoughts about it. Some agreed while others didn't. Several online users even mocked Melania due to her husband’s statement.

“MELANIA IS JACKIE O TIMES 4,” @silkyone11 added.

“I don’t think Melania deserves to be compared with Jackie O’ who was a very classy First Lady better than Melania,” @iluispc_perez opined.

“No comparison: Jackie O' was a lady; Melania is just a second rate model and illegal immigrant,” @cabresch wrote.

Meanwhile, some defended Trump’s wife because for them, she’s as good as Jackie.

“@FLOTUS Melania #Trump is as exceptional in every way as Jackie O,” @VoteEmAllOut wrote.

“Melania is right up there with Jackie Kennedy when it comes to class,” @JackNethercot commented.

Meanwhile, Melania’s modeling career was questioned because she lacks high-fashion and professional shots. According to writer Quinn Cummings, she didn’t see the FLOTUS’ zed card and the ones she saw are the types that modeling agencies usually ignore.
