Drake is all set to collaborate with ESPN to create music for the new season of "Monday Night Football."

ESPN announced Tuesday through a press release that the award-winning Canadian rapper will curate music throughout the new season of "Monday Night Football" games and the music will be a combination of some of his classics and new music.

All these music pieces will run during the live telecasts, pre-game shows and other promotional spots for the season, which consist of 10 games in total. The season will commence on Sunday.

Emeka Ofodile, Vice President of Sports Marketing, ESPN said, "Now we are here…the kickoff of the football season. And who better to curate music for Monday Night Football than Drake who sits firmly at the intersection of music and sports. We couldn’t be more excited for this upcoming collaboration."

"The music curator role has been a big hit with our fans with Diplo and DJ Khaled in previous years," he added. "And this season, we will be living inside the moment with Drake as our NFL on ESPN soundtrack."

ESPN PR (Public relations) official Twitter handle also announced the news.

"ESPN announces Monday Night Football music collab with award-winning artist @Drake Partnering throughout the 2021-22 @ESPNNFL season to choose tracks that reflect the energy, intensity & storylines of select #MNF game matchups."

The announcement came after the rapper dropped the release date of his new music album, "Certified Lover Boy" on the ESPN network last month. The music album, which consists of eight music tracks, was released on Sept. 3.

A Twitter user shared the video of the announcement with the caption, "Did Drake hack Sports Center and just randomly drop the CLB date?"

In May, the rapper received the Artist of the Decade Award at the Billboard Music Awards 2021. During the acceptance speech, the rapper noted, "I'm really self-conscious about my music. Even if I do a good job, I always wonder how I could have done it better."
