Dwayne Johnson is giving "finishing touches" to the highly anticipated DC movie "Black Adam."

The 50-year-old actor shared a black-and-white photo on his Instagram page Monday from the sets of the movie. In the photo, he can be seen standing on a moving tray wearing the Black Adam outfit.

While the picture was black and white, it seemed that the actor is standing in front of a plain blue or green background, which is popularly used for superhero movies.

"Intense week of production continues as we put the finishing touches on BLACK ADAM," Johnson revealed. "Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of playing some great (fun) characters over the years, but none speak to my DNA more than this antihero known as the man in black, Teth Adam."

"Rage against the dying of the light," he added. "The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change."

"Black Adam" is slated to release on Oct. 21.

Many celebrities shared their reactions to Johnson's post.

Actor Ryan Ochoa wrote, "Black Adam in black & white is IG," while producer Hiram Garcia commented, "The character you were born to play! Let’s go!! #ManInBlack." Comedian Rocky Dale Davis wrote, "Only superhero ever that looks bigger in the live-action version."

Johnson said he wasn't completely satisfied when he saw the first cut of the movie last year.

"I think we're in a really good place," the actor said at the time. "I think now's the time where… we take our time, yet there has to be some expediency to it because we do have to have the movie ready by next summer."

"I am happy, yet not satisfied, and we will continue to put the work in," he added. "And the teaser that we showed about three weeks ago, it was a good indicator of what's to come."

"Black Adam" was initially scheduled for a July release, but it was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The flick is helmed by director Jaume Collet-Serra and it will also star Noah Centineo, Pierce Brosnan, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi and Quintessa Swindell.

Besides "Black Adam," Johnson will be seen in the movies "The King," "San Andreas 2," "Doc Savage" and "Big Trouble in Little China."
