KEY POINTS

  • Stars of Ruin is given to players by Master Lusat in Caelid
  • Players can find Lusat inside the Sellia Hideaway
  • Players must have the Sellian Sealbreaker to reach Lusat

The Stars of Ruin is a legendary spell that launches a barrage of shooting stars at targets, ripping through their health bars with relative ease if players have the right build equipped.

This spell can be obtained in a hidden area in Caelid, near the town of Sellia. Like Comet Azur, Stars of Ruin is given to players after interacting with primeval sorcery. In this case, players need to find Master Lusat inside the Sellia Hideaway.

Sellia Hideaway is a hidden dungeon located northeast of Sellia. The easiest way to reach this place is by teleporting to the Church of the Plague Site of Grace. Ride to the northeast to find a small graveyard with a lone sorcerer standing guard. Defeat this enemy then roll onto the largest headstone in the graveyard. This will reveal a path that leads to the Sellia Hideaway.

Players must have the Sellian Sealbreaker item to reach Lusat’s location. To get the item, players need to progress through Sorceress Sellen’s questline. After getting Comet Azur from Primeval Sorcerer Azur on Mt. Gelmir, speak to Sellen inside the cellar in Waypoint Ruins to receive the Sellian Sealbreaker.

Afterward, proceed through Sellia Hideaway as per usual. Lusat is tucked away in a room that can be reached by dropping down some crystal ledges. Use the Sellian Sealbreaker to unlock the room and speak to Lusat to receive the spell.

Stars of Ruin is a Primeval Sorcery. As such, there are no items that can boost its damage output specifically. However, Lusat’s Glintstone Staff will boost this spell’s damage since it affects all sorceries at the cost of increased FP usage per cast.

The spell requires 43 INT and only one Memory Slot. It also has an FP cost of 38, making it relatively costly even after a recent balance change.

Stars of Ruin is great against fast-moving enemies in PvE. Its usage in PvP becomes somewhat limited based on terrain since smart players can hide behind cover to block all the projectiles.
