Ellen Pompeo Takes Aim At TV Doctors Dr. Oz, Dr. Phil Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Ellen Pompeo called out TV doctors amid coronavirus pandemic.

On Saturday, the “Grey’s Anatomy” star urged everyone to stay at home for very good reasons. She stressed that it helps stop the spread of the virus to the nurses, doctors and anyone who works in the hospital. It also lowers the risk of contracting the virus.

She also took aim at the tv doctors. Pompeo slammed Dr. Mehmet Oz, Dr. Phil McGaw and Dr. Drew Pinsky, calling them “out of touch.”

“Also the old white guy tv docs who say stupid selfish [explicit] should yes ...walk that [explicit] riht [sic] back .to your lazy boys and sit your stupid asses down in your living rooms on your golf courses where you live..tired out of touch old fools don’t get me started today,” she wrote on Twitter.

She also shared a tweet from W. Kamau Bell, who also called the three doctors. “Hi, Drew, Oz, and Phil. Until you start behaving like real doctors, Imma call you by your first names,” Bell wrote.

“I love this because ...They have been so busy in their dressing rooms getting their faces powdered and worrying about their ratings ...they have no idea what doctors and healthcare professionals on the front lines actually do or they just don’t care,” Pompeo wrote when she shared Bell’s post.

In related news, Pompeo, who portrays the character of Dr. Meredith Grey in the popular series “Grey’s Anatomy,” opened up about the possibility of dedicating an episode to coronavirus in the series. She admitted that it crossed her mind.

“I do not know. I thought about it (coronavirus episode). Obviously, we do not want to get too political here, but I was just watching the news and I saw a clip of Barack Obama in 2014, saying that a pandemic was inevitable and that we should be prepared for it,” Pompeo told Variety.

In the same interview, she criticized the Republicans who did not grand former President Barack Obama’s budget for taking precautionary measures. She added that it is so “disappointing” that the country is not prepared for it.
