Emilia Clarke was asked about the infamous coffee cup scene in the latest season of “Game of Thrones” on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday, and she revealed who is actually responsible.

As noted by People, during the interview, host Jimmy Fallon reminded the actress that her fellow “GoT” co-star Sophie Turner had appeared as a guest on his show not long ago and, according to her, said Clarke was responsible for the accident. Clarke playfully responded, “Yeah, I heard. I heard what’s up.”

The coffee scene played out during one of the last episodes of the HBO series. The characters all sat in a tension-filled dinner scene, where a regular, modern cardboard coffee cup was clearly visible on the table. It didn’t take eagle-eyed fans to spot it and it immediately made waves on the internet. As to who’s responsible for this continuity mistake, that hasn’t been made clear.

The cast members have all thrown out their theories as to who it was that’s responsible. Before, Turner had blamed Clarke for the coffee cup, but then later added it could have been Kit Harrington.

However, Clarke gave her side of the story during Wednesday's interview and revealed that she may know who is actually responsible. Clarke told the story of Conleth Hill, who played Lord Varys on the series, taking her aside during Emmys season and admitted to her that it was his coffee cup and he’s responsible for the on-screen error.

“It was his! It was Conleth’s coffee cup! He said so,” Clarke said excitedly. She explained that Hill may have been "drunk" at the time but added: “he said it."

With a hectic workspace like the set of a world-famous TV show, anybody could be responsible for coffee-gate. For now, Clarke is convinced Hill is the one responsible.
