Prince Charles was rumored to have slept with Camilla Parker Bowles on the night before his wedding to Princess Diana.

On the online forum site Quora, royal fans shared their thoughts on the matter. Majority of them said that Prince Charles didn’t sleep with the Duchess of Cornwall just hours before he and Princess Diana tied the knot.

Lili Kamath said that the Duke of Cornwall slept at the home of Countess Mountbatten of Burma, who is the first cousin of Prince Philip, the night before his royal wedding. The royal fan also said that the rumor about Prince Charles sleeping with Camilla didn’t take place before his wedding but before another event.

Susanna Humphreys also said that Prince Charles couldn’t have possibly slept with Camilla on the night of his wedding to Princess Diana. He said that the newlyweds spent the first night of their honeymoon at Broadlands, and they went to Balmoral afterward while on board the Royal Yacht Britannia.

Sallie Smythe, an avid reader of royal biographies, said that Prince Charles didn’t hook up with Camilla at that time.

“Whatever made you think of such a thing? He and Diana were officially married and were off enjoying their first night on a honeymoon as husband and wife… They didn’t take Camilla with them!” she said.

Isabella Fiske McFarlin said that Prince Charles may not have taken Camilla to his honeymoon back in 1981 literally, but he definitely kept the mom of two in his heart.

Deb Stratas also said that no matter what happened to Prince Charles and Princess Diana in the end, it is highly unlikely that the future King would do something disrespectful to Princess Diana before their wedding.

Prince Charles had an affair with Camilla even before she wed Princess Diana. The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall dated each other in the 1970s but they had to go their separate ways because of Prince Charles’ duty.
