An Australian man was charged with manslaughter for allegedly failing to get his 11-year-old boy medical help who died after suffering a snake bite in Queensland.

The young boy kept pleading with his father to get help after he was bitten by a snake, however, 31-year-old Kerrod Frahm paid no heed, Evening Standard reported. The incident took place in November 2021 when Tristian Frahm was with his father at the latter's friend's property in Murgon in Queensland's South Burnett region.

While the child urged his father to look at the snake bite, Kerrod reportedly failed to take serious action to protect his child. Kerrod was charged with manslaughter Tuesday for being negligent toward his son's consistent pleas for help, the outlet added.

It is believed that Tristian died within hours after the snake bite.

On the night of the incident, Kerrod took Tristian to bed sometime after the young boy complained about the snake bite. At some point, Tristian's condition started worsening and he went out of the room. His lifeless body was found outside near a shed the next morning, Yahoo News reported, quoting The Courier Mail.

Tristian's untimely death shook his family who posted heart-breaking tributes to the schoolboy, calling him a "little hero" and an "angel."

"I'm so beyond lost for words and the heart break is unimaginable. I'm still in disbelief," a devastated family member told Adelaide Now. "I love you more than I ever thought possible, I'm missing you more and more every minute, there'll be a you-sized hole in my heart forever."

Kerrod was due in Murgon Magistrates Court on Dec. 6.

It wasn't revealed which kind of snake bit Tristian.

Earlier this month, a 7-year-old boy in Brazil died after being bitten by a toxic scorpion. The child reportedly suffered seven heart attacks before the venom took his life. The creature delivered a powerful sting on the boy's foot when he was wearing his shoes while getting ready for a camping trip with his family. The family initially didn't realize the boy suffered a scorpion bite until he screamed in pain and his leg swelled up. After a frantic search, his parents found a Brazilian yellow scorpion, or Tityus serrulatus, that bit the child.
