Despite being banned from playing “Fortnite” for the rest of his life and the fact that some of his fellow streamers have sought for Epic Games to shorten his punishment, FaZe Javis said that he will still continue to make videos.

Javis Kaye was slapped with a permaban, or permanent ban, by Epic Games after he was caught using a cheat called “aimbot.” The punishment roused a ton of controversy, with some saying that the ban was too much. Others, however, found it to be justifiable and echoed the developer's thrust on zero tolerance when it comes to cheating.

Polygon reported on Kaye's first video since the ban and highlighted the FaZe Clan standout's statement that he'll be taking a short break from making new videos. While this might seem to be an act of humility, the 17-year-old wasn't just about to stop his gaming career.

The website pointed that Kaye will keep on making “new material once he's back,” but he'll have to figure out on how things would work to his advantage. His dependence on “Fortnite” could also mean that he could switch to other games instead while waiting for Epic Games to somewhat soften, listen to his peers and reconsider the ban to be shortened.

“One thing I've been thinking about the most is how to move forward. I want to let you all know is that you're going to make mistakes in life, but the most important thing is how you learn from those mistakes and become a better person.”

Independent meanwhile said that Kaye has been doing a lot of time reflecting on “everything,” especially the mortal sin that he has committed against the “Fortnite” community. He admitted that it's important for him to be a “good example” for his fans and subscribers, and taking a break from all the bad vibes the band had brought will do him good to set his priorities – and his life – straight.

“Taking a break isn't going to be easy but I know it's the right thing. I'm heading back home for a bit to be with my family and reflect on what's most important to me in my life and where I want to go next,” he said.

For now, he has no answers to the many questions the world wanted to ask him, particularly on what he's planning to do next.

“I'm going to be taking this time to really reflect and figure that out.”
