The Ottos have to decide whether or not to declare war against Walker and his men in Season 3, episode 6 of “Fear the Walking Dead.”

According to the synopsis for the upcoming episode, Madison (Kim Dickens) struggles to keep everyone together when news of incoming danger spreads throughout Broke Jaw ranch. In the trailer for the episode, Madison, Troy (Daniel Sharman) and his crew who looked for the missing members of the community arrive back at the sanctuary. When a resident asks what happened to the other Broke Jaw soldiers, one of Troy’s men says, “They were all dead.”

In Season 3, episode 5, Madison, Troy and his crew went out of the ranch to check on the outpost of Broke Jaw ranch and what happened to the group who went to investigate the helicopter crash site. When they arrived at the site, they found that the wreckage of the chopper had been hauled away. They also discoverd shells on the ground, suggesting that there had been a gunfight.

When they got to the outpost, they found a pile of burning bodies, which unfortunately belonged to the Broke Jaw soldiers they were looking for. About a hundred yards from the bodies, they found Phil (Rocky McMurray), another Broke Jaw ranch resident, sitting and absently reciting the poem “Antigonish” as a crow literally picked at his brain. As Madison slid a knife into Phil’s brain to put him down, a new character named Walker (Michael Greyeyes) appeared behind them.

Apparently, Troy and Walker have known each other. After Troy almost passively insinuated that Walker condemned himself to death by killing several Broke Jaw soldiers, Walker revealed that his men had Troy and his crew surrounded. “Tell your people it’s time for justice,” Walker told Troy after instructing them to leave their guns, vehicles, supplies and boots. “The land you’ve lived on needs to be returned. Abandon the ranch.”

To seek revenge for what Walker and his men have done, Troy clearly wants to declare war against them. But his brother, Jake (Sam Underwood), doesn’t think it’s the right idea.

“He killed your people. He was trying to kill you!” Alicia (Alycia Debnamn-Carey) tells Jake in the trailer.

“More people will die,” Jake replies.

At some point in the trailer, Troy is seen punching Jake in the face. “Are you gonna fight or are you gonna surrender?” Troy violently asks his older brother.

It’s unclear whether or not Jeremiah (Dayton Callie) supports Troy’s idea, but the news of incoming danger seemingly weighs on the Otto patriarch. At the end of the trailer, a drunk Jeremiah shockingly points his gun to Nick (Frank Dillane).
