“Fifty Shades of Grey” author E.L. James has a new book, and it’s going to be pretty steamy. The erotica author will bring a new romance to shelves this spring.

James announced her next novel, “The Mister,” on “Today,” and it will be released on April 16. “It’s a 21st century Cinderella,” she said.

The story follows Maxim Trevelyan, who is (obviously) sexy, British and rich, as he falls for the mysterious Alessia Demachi. Maxim has just gone through something tragic, but now he has his family’s title, wealth and a lot of responsibilities that he doesn’t know if he can handle. Alessia doesn’t have much, but she’s running from a dangerous past. Can Maxim protect her?

James said the story included “lots” of sex scenes. “It’s a passionate, erotic love story,” she explained. “It’s not ‘Fifty Shades’ erotic because it’s not ‘Fifty Shades.’ It’s a completely different story.”

“The Mister,” which will be released in paperback in April, is available for pre-order now.

The “Fifty Shades of Grey” novels followed Anastasia Steele as she met billionaire Christian Grey, who introduced her to the world of BDSM. The stories started out as “Twilight” fan fiction but were published as original novels in 2011 and 2012. James started rewriting the books from Christian’s point of view with “Grey” released in 2015 and “Darker” released in 2017.

The bestselling books spawned a hit movie franchise, which launched the careers of Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. The films earned over $1.32 billion at the worldwide box office.
