  • Omid Scobie denied the report claiming he said or wrote about Prince Harry yelling or shouting at the Queen
  • Dan Wootton responded to Scobie's tweet
  • A source said Prince Harry would never yell at the Queen because he respects her

Prince Harry did not yell or swear at the Queen, "Finding Freedom" author and royal correspondent Omid Scobie said while calling the report that claimed otherwise "false."

In one interview with True RoyalTV while promoting the book, Scobie mentioned the tiaragate row and how Prince Harry intervened by calling the Queen to complain about her personal dresser Angela Kelly, who failed to accommodate suitable fittings for Meghan Markle. During the call, Scobie mentioned the duke using the words: “What the hell?”

Following the interview, The Sun published a report with the headline "Royal Row Prince Harry shouted 'what the hell is going on' at Queen in outburst about trusted aide, royal biographer claims.” And so Scobie took to Twitter to address the issue right away.

"I’ve tried to stay off Twitter in the recent days but I need to comment on false reporting that has been attributed to me. I NEVER said Prince Harry 'yelled' or 'shouted' at The Queen — not in an interview or in the book. Ridiculous claim to make," Scobie wrote.

"The book goes into great detail about Prince Harry's respect and admiration for The Queen, so it really bothered me to see this kind of reporting put out there as it's so far from what is described on the pages," he added.

During Scobie's interview, he described the dispute over Markle's wedding tiara and how Prince Harry intervened on the matter.

"Harry had to intervene," Scobie said.

"He called his grandmother and said, 'I don't know what the hell is going on. But this woman needs to make this work for my future wife’."

A source close to Prince Harry also reacted to the report that he yelled at his grandmother and denied the allegation. The insider stressed that the duke would never talk that way to his grandmother.

"The Queen is probably the person he respects and values most in the world," the source told The Telegraph.

Scobie's post has received mixed reactions from Twitter users. One shared Wootton's response qouting his words from the interview. Another defended the author saying that his words didn't mean Prince Harry shouted at Her Majesty.
