Grant Gustin as The Flash
A “Sleepy Hollow” actress was tapped to play DC Comics character Gypsy in Season 3 of “The Flash.” The CW

An actress from “Sleepy Hollow” is appearing in an upcoming episode of “The Flash.”

According to TheWrap, Jessica Camacho was cast as DC Comics character Gypsy, which will be introduced on the CW series later in Season 3.

Camacho played FBI agent Sophie Foster in Season 3 of “Sleepy Hollow.” She is also known for her recurring roles on CW’s action thriller “Nikita” and ABC’s military drama “Last Resort.” She recently guest starred on CW’s “Frequency” and Discovery Channel’s miniseries “Harley and the Davidsons.”

In addition to her upcoming acting gig on “The Flash,” the 34-year-old actress can also be seen next on the big screen in the drama thriller film “Crave: The Fast Life,” which opens in theaters on Jan. 1, 2017.

The introduction of Gypsy to “The Flash” was first revealed by series actor Carlos Valdes during an episode of The CW’s “Fan Feast” digital series, which was released right after the airing of the show’s midseason finale.

When asked what’s next with his character Cisco in the second half of the season, Valdes said (via Cinema Blend): “There’s gonna be a new visitor to our world named Gypsy. DC Comics fans will be familiar with Gypsy. She’s gonna be coming into our world and Vibe (Cisco’s metahuman alter ego) will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her.”

In the comics, Gypsy has the ability to cast illusions which allows her to blend into the background and become invisible. She’s also a master of martial arts and can project terrifying images to the minds of her opponents. Created by Gerry Conway and Chuck Patton, Gypsy made her first appearance in 1984’s “Justice League of America Annual” #2 — the same issue in which Vibe also debuted.

Last Dec. 2, Camacho was photographed filming some scenes with Valdes, Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West/Kid Flash) and Violett Beane (Jesse Wells/Jesse Quick) in downtown Vancouver. Check out the set photos below:

“The Flash” Season 3, Episode 10, titled “Borrowing Problems from the Future,” airs on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
