Fans of “Flip or Flop are relieved to learn that one of the stars of the house-flipping reality TV series who was at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas is safe following the deadliest mass shooting in recent U.S. history.

Tarek El Moussa, who, with his ex-wife Christina, composes one half of the show’s team, took to Instagram on Sunday, Oct. 1 to share that he was in Las Vegas and attending the Country Music festival, which was taking place on the Las Vegas strip, across the street from the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino.

In a photo, where he posed with two other men, Tarek expressed excitement about attending the concert, while also leaving a caption on the image that was meant as a joke about being in Las Vegas, but would later prove to be eerie.

“Hope I make it home tonight,” he captioned the image.

It was the last post on his Instagram page itself, though he quickly took to his Instagram story early this morning, after the news of the shooting broke, to let his fans know he was safe after having left the concert shortly before the shooting began.

“So I just left the Route 91 country concert in Las Vegas. I’m safe but there was an active shooting. Many people [were] shot and killed and [I’m] just really, really sad,” he said. “So kind of bummed right now. Sucks that things like this happen. Have a good night.”

His former wife has not yet released a statement about the incident.

Tarek was not the only celebrity who was present at the concert, which saw several country music artists in attendance after performing their own sets. Jason Aldean, who was on stage when the shooting began, quickly took to Instagram to share his heartbreak over the concert ending in tragedy, while also making sure to let his fans know that he and his team were safe.

Chris Young, who was also performing at the festival, has since taken to social media to recount the harrowing experience as well, sharing details about how he hid from the carnage and appearing to still be shaken up by what he had witnessed.

Several other celebrities have also since taken to social media to express heartache over the shooting.

The shooting has since been attributed to a 64-year-old white man named Stephen Paddock. He opened fire from his room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay, and killed himself by the time authorities were able to break into his room, according to reports. At least eight guns were reportedly found in the room.

The shooting, which has seen a death toll at 50 with more than 100 others injured, is now the deadliest shooting in recent U.S. history. It has officially surpassed the total number of deaths at the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida, in 2016, which saw 49 people killed. It has also surpassed other deadly shootings, including the Virginia Tech massacre in 2007 and the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting in 2012.
