KEY POINTS

  • Floki Inu has made a deal with SSC Napoli
  • The FLOKI logo will feature on the back of the team's jersey
  • Floki also made a deal with India's Kerala Blaster's footbal club

Floki Inu is set to appear on the jersey of Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli, or SSC Napoli, an Italian professional football team based in Naples. The logo will be featured on the back of the jersey and also across LED signs at the team's home stadium.

The team took to Twitter to announce this new partnership. "SSC Napoli is pleased to announce the partnership with Floki, the meme token brand, which becomes the new back sponsor on the club's jersey," said SSC Napoli.

The announcement further said that the back of the jersey would depict a Shiba Inu dog which will have a Viking helmet on top of its head.

Floki Inu is inspired by the pet dog of Elon Musk by the same name. The currency has struck a bullish tune with extensive marketing campaigns in India and the U.K. and now targeting SSC Napoli.

Floki Inu has already crossed 340,000 holders and is attracting speculation from authorities. Recently, after an extravagant promotion of the meme coin in the U.K., where the token was displayed on buses and boards, it was caught in the crosshairs of the U.K. Advertising Authority.

On the other hand, Floki has also partnered with the highest followed Indian football team. In a deal similar to the one with SSC Napoli, Floki Inu partnered with Kerala Blasters FC. The football club has more than 2 million Instagram followers and 1.8 million+ Twitter followers.

"The partnership, which takes effect immediately, will have #FLOKI be Kerala Blasters' sleeve sponsor for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL)," said the Twitter handle of the meme token.

While both the teams haven't revealed how much their respective partnerships with Floki Inu are worth or how many years they have signed off, the regulatory stance of respective governments might become a hurdle for the meme token. The Indian government has slated to discuss regulations on cryptocurrency in the upcoming winter session of the parliament.
