Floyd Mayweather is returning to the ring for an exhibition match against Logan Paul, pitting the greatest boxer of his generation against a YouTube star. While the bout will draw plenty of attention, the end result isn’t thought to be in doubt.

Paul doesn’t have a chance to beat Mayweather when they square off on Feb. 20, 2021. That’s what both the betting odds and common sense suggest, anyway, as social media critics have questions whether Paul is planning his own funeral.

Mayweather opened as a massive -5000 betting favorite (gamblers must risk $50 to win $1) at BetOnline. The online sportsbook gives Paul +1500 odds to pull off the upset (a $1 bet pays $15).

The “super exhibition,” as Mayweather described it, isn’t expected to count toward the boxer’s professional record. The 43-year-old is a perfect 50-0 in his stellar career.

Mayweather defeated UFC star Conor McGregor with a 10th-round knockout three years ago in his last official fight. McGregor was overmatched throughout the fight until the ref’s stoppage, though the boxer was less than a -700 favorite on the day of the bout.

Mayweather last fought a legitimate professional boxer when he defeated Andre Berto in September 2015. Mayweather entered that fight as a -3000 favorite.

On Dec. 31, 2018, Mayweather faced kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition boxing match. Mayweather easily won by first-round knockout, reportedly earning $9 million for a little over two minutes of work.

Paul has only one sanctioned fight on his resume. The 25-year-old lost to YouTube personality KSI by split decision in a six-round boxing match on Nov. 9, 2019.

Logan Paul’s brother, Jake Paul, knocked out former NBA player Nate Robinson in a fight at Staples Center on Nov. 28.

Mayweather vs. Paul is currently being sold for $24.99 on pay-per-view. If the fight generates one million buys, the price will increase to $39.99. The PPV jumps to $59.99 on Dec. 29 and $69.99 on Feb. 11.
