Rihanna is the world's richest female musician, according to Forbes. The publication states that the 31-year-old's $600 million fortune put her ahead of household names like Beyoncé, Madonna, and Celine Dion.

Robyn Rihanna Fenty's rise to stardom started with her debut hit song "Pon De Replay" in 2005. Since then, the Barbadian has released a total of eight studio albums winning multiple awards including nine Grammys. The singer also holds six Guinness World Records for accomplishments with her catchy tunes. Even with all of her success with music, the majority of her wealth comes from other business ventures, mostly with LVMH.

LVMH is a French multinational luxury goods conglomerate headquartered in Paris. Rihanna achieved even more success after she partnered with the company to release her beauty brand, "Fenty Beauty", in September 2017. Forbes estimates that the "Umbrella" singer owns 15 percent while LVMH owns 50 percent.

PaperMag reported that the critically acclaimed beauty brand pulled in $100 million in sales in its first 40 days. Forbes goes further to report that "Fenty Beauty" made "an estimated $570 million in revenue last year, after only 15 months in business."

The fashion-icon doesn't stop at just music and beauty, though. Rihanna launched her lingerie line "Savage X Fenty" with LA-based firm TechStyle Fashion Group in 2018. And in May, she announced "Fenty", a luxury clothing house that will make high-end shoes, clothes, accessories, and jewelry. According to Complex, "Fenty is LVMH’s first new house in over 30 years and is under the same umbrella as brands like Dior and Givenchy."

While her fashion partnerships helped Rihanna achieve the title of the richest female musician in the world, it is the combined efforts of fashion, beauty, music and touring that has contributed to Fenty's overall net worth.

The news of Rihanna's newest title comes amid reports from Forbes that fellow entertainer, Jay-Z, holds the coveted title of the first billionaire hip-hop artist.
