After a few teaser videos were released and some serious speculation about the capabilities of Ford’s (F) Bronco 4x4, it can now be seen in action as it undergoes an off-road mud test.

Courtesy of Bronco Nation, the yet to be released Bronco can be seen hitting the trails in Georgia where it comes in contact with the toughest of mud environments - Piedmont clay - to really show just how durable and rugged the SUV is expected to be.

In the video, the Bronco can be seen trekking trails, hitting slopes and hills, wading through ravines, and hitting washboard mud, all the while showing off its ability to traverse the terrain.

The Bronco is showcased in the video in camouflage as not to give too much away about its appearance as Ford has been tight-lipped about the 4x4’s launch. Until now, Bronco enthusiasts have only seen glimpses of the truck in street-worthy tests, where the vehicle was also hidden from view.

The new video from the forum gives a good idea of the Bronco’s off-road abilities and builds on Ford’s promise of a plenty capable off-road vehicle.

Ford delayed the 2020 release of the Bronco 4x4 because of the coronavirus. The SUV is now expected to hit dealers in 2021 with a Bronco Sport model also anticipated from the automaker.

Shares of Ford stock were up 2.01% as of 3:20 p.m. EDT on Monday.
