  • Antonio Tarver seeks revenge for Nate Robinson
  • Tarver dares Jake Paul to face him in a boxing match
  • Paul has yet to respond to the challenge

Internet sensation Jake Paul is on the prowl for a next opponent, and someone has stepped up to the plate.

Former world boxing champion Antonio Tarver has called out the 23-year-old to a fight, vowing to give Paul a beating after his knockout win over ex-NBA player Nate Robinson.

Tarver was one of the many viewers who saw what went down in the one-sided bout between Paul and Robinson card.

The "Magic Man" vowed to give Paul a run for his money and even called on Mike Tyson to make the match-up happen in an Instagram post.

“I really want to kick [Jake Paul's] a-- for what he did to [Nate Robinson] last night and rid boxing of these clowns once and for all. He fought a complete novice so fighting me shouldn’t be a problem...[Mike Tyson,] make this fight [at] Legends League 2. I’m considering a full comeback after last night," Tarver’s social media post read.

Robinson was knocked out cold in the second round after receiving a big overhand right. The 36-year-old dropped like a log but was thankfully able to get immediate medical attention and back on his feet not long after, Boxingscene.com reported.

In the post-fight interview, Paul shared that he was staying the course and had big names in mind. Among those mentioned include Conor McGregor and teammate Dillon Danis.

“A 100%, I’m willing to be patient. I’m only 23 years old. Deontay Wilder started boxing when he was 21. So I have a long future ahead and I’m just getting started. And I talk a lot of s--t, but I backed it up. Actions speak louder than words,” Paul said.

The last time Tarver entered the ring was in August 2015. He faced Steve Cunningham at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey which ended in a split draw.

However, that last fight was not spared from controversy. Tarver tested positive for a banned substance in his pre-fight urine samples.

Tarver has 39 fights under his belt. He has 31 wins to his credit with 22 coming from knockouts. He has suffered 6 defeats, one draw, and a match ruled as a no contest.

Tarver has also made a brief stint on the silver screen. In 2006, he played Mason "The Line" Dixon opposite Sylvester Stallone in "Rocky Balboa."

Paul has yet to respond to Tarver’s challenge. But he could be a good test for the YouTuber to gauge whether his boxing career truly makes sense.
