Christmas has arrived in Port Charles, which means it’s time for the ABC soap opera to put a modern twist on a classic Christmas story. On the Monday, Dec. 23 episode of “General Hospital,” Finn will take on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in a unique adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

When the episode airs, viewers will see some of their favorite “GH” characters take the screen as various ghosts that try to force Finn (Michael Easton) to see the error of his ways.

In a sneak peek of the upcoming episode, Finn seems worried while attending the hospital’s Christmas gathering. It appears Violet (Jophielle Love) overheard a conversation, in which Finn revealed that Santa Claus wasn’t real.

Finn confides in Anna (Finola Hughes) about ruining Christmas, but she reassures him that she spoke to Violet to make sure the girl still believes jolly old St. Nick would be delivering her presents.

Even though Anna managed to save Finn from ruining the most wonderful time of the year, she encouraged him to open his heart to the spirit of the season, so that Violet can enjoy the holiday.

On the other side of the lobby, Monica begins to read “A Christmas Carole” to the children and Finn stands by to listen to the tale. However, as she begins to describe Scrooge’s miserable life, a bell begins to sound.

The viewers are then transported to a bedroom where Finn suddenly awakens, and it becomes clear he will be the star of the classic Christmas tale.

“General Hospital” fans can also expect appearances from Franco (Roger Howarth), Ava (Maura West), Josslyn (Eden McCoy), Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), and Tracy (Jane Elliot) during the special episode.

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EST on ABC.
