Nina managed to convince Sonny to see his doctor, but on the Thursday, Jan. 27, episode of “General Hospital,” Sonny will have a conversation that may inspire him to start taking his medication again.

In the promo video for the ABC soap opera, Sonny (Maurice Benard) runs into Brando (Johnny Wactor) at the hospital. “GH” spoilers reveal Sonny has a meaningful run-in.

In the previous episode, Nina (Cynthia Watros) left Sonny at the hospital after realizing he went off of the medication for his bipolar disorder. Viewers are aware Sonny stopped taking his prescription after Carly (Laura Wright) decided to move out of their home.

While at the hospital, it appears Sonny runs into Brando, who appears to be in a bad place, and asks for help. Both Brando and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) have been struggling to deal with their grief following the death of their baby boy.

Sonny knows all too well how it feels to lose a child and how to assist someone who lost a child. Sonny helped Michael (Chad Duell) deal with his grief when he thought he lost his son, but Sonny was on his medication at the time.

If Sonny is truly going to give Brando the help he needs to deal with the death of his child, he will need to go back on his medication.

Will Brando’s cry for help inspire Sonny to begin taking his medication before Carly finds out the reason behind his recent erratic behavior?

Elsewhere in the ABC promo video, the teens are seen saying cheers as they celebrate their getaway at the cabin. “General Hospital” spoilers reveal that as night falls at the cabin, Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) initiates a game.

In the previous episode, Esme continued to show jealousy over Spencer’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) close relationship with Trina (Sydney Mikayla).

Later on in the evening, Esme presented the group with a tray of hot drinks. However, viewers were aware she drugged one of the beverages, most likely Trina’s (Sydney Mikayla) drink.

Will Esme’s plan work out? Or will one of the other teens end up with the drugged concoction?

Other “GH” spoilers tease Maxie (Kirsten Storms) desperately concocting an explanation, Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) interest is piqued by a new possibility, and Sasha’s arrival at yoga causes a stir.

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EST on ABC.
