KEY POINTS

  • A new set of craftable weapons were spotted in "Genshin Impact's" new beta version
  • The weapons' new mechanics revolve around energy management and elemental damage
  • The new set is expected to go live together with the initial launch of Inazuma

Free-to-play players will soon be able to get a wider selection of equipment once the 1.7/2.0 update finally arrives. Another set of new weapons was spotted by “Genshin Impact” leakers among the plethora of new information from the game’s latest beta version.

The new Inazuma weapons will be similar to the Dragonspine set in terms of how each weapon compares to one another. They will be designed according to the region they’re found in and every piece of equipment will have a corresponding backstory related to Inazuma’s lore and legends.

Following the Electro theme of the island nation, the weapons will have effects revolving around either elemental damage or energy recharge. Here’s a closer look at each weapon courtesy of Genshin Intel and the Honey Hunter World database.

The new items fall under the new Bakufu set, an appropriately-styled selection of weapons designed after classic Japanese arms laced with purple streaks and highlights. The 4-star weapons will be craftable at any Blacksmithing station for an appropriate amount of materials and rare weapon billets, similar to the other Blacksmith weapon options. There will be one weapon for each category:

The Amenoma Kageuta Blade is an ATK% sword with the Iwakura Succession passive that focuses on energy regeneration. Every time a character equipped with this sword casts an Elemental Skill, they will generate a Succession Seed that lasts for 30 seconds. This effect has a 5-second cooldown and up to three seeds can be held.

If the wielder casts their Elemental Burst, the seeds will be consumed after two seconds and generate six energy each.

Meanwhile, Polearm users will be able to use Kitain Cross Spear, an Elemental Mastery polearm with the Samurai Conduct passive. This passive effect grants bonus Elemental Skill DMG and a short buff that generates energy for its user. However hitting enemies with an Elemental Skill will drain energy from the wielder.

This passive is also present in the new Energy Recharge claymore, Katsuragi’s Slasher.

The new White Dragon Ring catalyst will also fulfill a similar support/utility role. This weapon grants Energy Recharge and the Sakura Palace passive, which boosts party members’ Elemental DMG whenever an Electro-based reaction is triggered.

On the other hand, the Demon-Slayer Bow is an offensive weapon that grants extra ATK% and the Full Draw passive. Characters will passively gain increased Normal and Charged Attack damage, which will grow even stronger once the wielder’s energy is full.
