Tracee Ellis Ross spoke about wanting a “Girlfriends” reunion while sitting on the “black-ish” panel at Paleyfest New York in 2017, and now she’s getting just that! Well, sort of.

The show itself isn’t coming back (just yet, at least), but some of Ross’s co-stars from the canceled-too-soon UPN/CW sitcom, on which she played Joan, are guest-starring on Tuesday night’s Season 6, episode 3 of ABC’s “black-ish,” titled “Feminisn’t.”

“Girlfriends” alums Golden Brooks, who played Maya, Jill Marie Jones, who played Toni, and Persia White, who played Lynn, will guest star as Bow’s (Ross) college friends — Aisha, Lisa and Robin, respectively — in the new “black-ish” episode all about feminism.

“When Bow learns that Diane [Marsai Martin] and Ruby [Jenifer Lewis] don’t believe in feminism, she brings Diane to meet the women in her feminist group,” according to the synopsis. “Bow’s friend Abby [Nadia Quinn] thinks the group needs to be more inclusive, so Bow invites three of her girlfriends to join. Meanwhile, Junior [Marcus Scribner] and Jack [Miles Brown] help Dre [Anthony Anderson] after he realizes he is out of touch with modern-day feminism.”

If the fun reunion episode has fans reminiscing about all of the great episodes the eight seasons of “Girlfriends” contained, they can take a stroll down memory lane with a rewatch of the sitcom online.

Seasons 2 through 8 are available to stream online for free on CW Seed, while Seasons 7 and 8 can also be watched via iTunes.

Season 7 can only be purchased on the Apple service one episode at a time, with each episode costing $0.99, while Season 8 is available for the same per-episode price, as well as for $9.99 for the whole season.

Fans can also get Season 8 on Amazon Video for $9.99 for the whole season or $2.99 per episode.

While there’s nowhere online to watch Season 1 of the series, a DVD version of it can be purchased through Amazon Prime for $9.95, which means it can make it to fans in just a couple of days.

If more “Girlfriends” content is still wanted after checking all of that out, fans can use the “#GirlfriendsNow” hashtag to try to help the cast get a spotlight on the dearly-departed show, in the hopes of helping it get a long-awaited wrap-up movie, according to Ross’ interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Plus, the “Girlfriends” reunion episode of “Black-ish” will be on Hulu, starting on Wednesday, for everyone to watch over and over again.

“Black-ish” airs on ABC on Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. EDT.
