After months of speculation, Goldberg has returned to WWE. The former world champion appeared on the latest edition of “Monday Night Raw,” accepting Brock Lesnar’s challenge for one more match.

It had been 12 years since Goldberg last appeared on WWE TV, but the live audience in Denver certainly didn’t forget the impact he made as one of the world’s most popular wrestlers. Goldberg was greeted by a raucous crowd, and he was emotional before delivering one of the best promos of his career.

Goldberg was never known for his work on the mic during his days with WCW or WWE, but he got wrestling fans excited for a match against Lesnar with his words on Monday night.

“I thought to myself, ‘Maybe I have one more ass-kicking left in me.’ I thought to myself, ‘Maybe I have one more bad-ass Spear left in me.’ Then I thought to myself, ‘Maybe I have one last devastating Jackhammer in me,’” Goldberg told the crowd.

“Brock Lesnar, not only does that mean that you’re next, but most importantly, it means, Brock Lesnar, you’re last!”

WWE hasn’t given an official date for the match, but it looks like it will take place at Survivor Series on Nov. 20 in Toronto. Goldberg hasn’t had a match since he defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 20 on March 14, 2004.

Lesnar hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since he defeated Randy Orton in the main event of SummerSlam on Aug. 21. He’s scheduled to be on “Monday Night Raw” next week.

Goldberg indicated that the upcoming match against Lesnar will be his last. If things go well, though, there's always a chance he could make an appearance in the Royal Rumble or even at WrestleMania 33 in 2017.
