Those curious to learn more about the Mr. Golden Globe for the 2020 award show may have little luck learning about the celebrity offspring since the title no longer exists. The Miss and Mr. Golden Globes title was phased out more than a year ago, just in time for the 2018 Golden Globe Awards.

The title, which made its debut in 1962, was held by the offspring of actor, actress, director, or someone well respected in the entertainment industry. The chosen individual would assist in presenting awards to the winners throughout the ceremony.

In 2017, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the decision to change the Miss and Mr. Golden Globes title to Golden Globe Ambassador to better reflect the role and express the inclusiveness.

The new title also came with a broader range of responsibilities for the titleholder. The Golden Globe Ambassador will not only assist with awards during the ceremony, but they will also take on more philanthropic duties with the role.

“Now, it’s gender-neutral, and the ambassador could be a woman, a man, a transgender,” Anke Hofmann, vice president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association said in a statement following the announcement.

This year, Paris and Dylan Brosnan, the sons of Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith, will have the honor of being the Golden Globes Ambassadors. This marks the first time two brothers have been selected for the coveted title.

“We’re proud to honor our dad’s legacy as we join the incredible roster of previous Golden Globe Ambassadors, many of whom have gone on to pursue their own dreams in the entertainment industry,” Dylan said in a statement.

Some of the Miss Golden Globes throughout the years include Dakota Johnson, Laura Dern, Melanie Griffith, Linda Evans and Sistine, Scarlet and Sophia Stallone. Meanwhile, the Mr. Golden Globes title has been held by Freddie Prinze Jr., AJ Lamas and Dominik García-Lorido.

Ricky Gervais will host the 77th annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
