A new Google Flights update is going to make your life even easier. Mobile users will be able to receive updates on when prices will increase while also finding hotel deals on their smartphone.

When it comes to flight information, users can select the flight of their choice to learn more about prices. A notification may pop up to alert the consumer on when the fare will expire and how much they can save.

And when generally looking up routes, without having selected a specific flight, users can see a notification bar with “multiple tips showing how to find the best price for this route.” These tips can vary from alternate dates to other local airports offering lower rates. It can also include a tip on an “expected price jump” based on past rates and selecting the notification will provide more information regarding price hikes and when it will likely take place.

“Google Flights can now help you be more confident that you’re booking your flight at the right time to get the best price,” wrote Nabil Naghdy, product manager of Google Flights, in a blog post. “We now show you when prices are expected to increase for some specific flights and routes you’re interested in.”

Users can also opt for tracking a specific flight and receiving updates via email on prices and expected changes in fare. According to Google: “Fare expiration and expected price jump notifications will be rolling out over the coming weeks everywhere Google Flights is available.”

Additionally, Google is making changes to its hotel search function. The platform already alerts deals that are lower than usual pricing. Now, users can filter to search for hotel deals exclusively by tapping the upper left corner and filtering for “Deals.” It will also alert consumers for when loyalty members will be eligible for special savings.
