The 3D Touch feature that was introduced by Apple on the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus smartphones is said to be one of the rumored features of the Google Nexus 2015 smartphone from HTC. The Android N OS is expected to natively support 3D Touch functionality.

According to Gizmo China, HTC is now building the Nexus 2016 smartphone that will come preinstalled with Android N OS that will carry support for 3D Touch. It further claimed that other Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi, Meizu, Oppo and Vivo are all working on Android smartphones that will be fitted with pressure-sensitive displays.

Rumors are rife that the search engine giant is working on a purported Nexus VR product that is similar to Gear VR headset from Samsung. It is expected to carry support for most Android phones.

HTC is rumored to be working two Nexus smartphones for this year. Both the smartphones will replace the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P. Speculations indicate the both Nexus 2016 phones will be sporting smaller displays than the current generation Nexus phones.

The Google Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch screen whereas the Google Nexus 6P has a 5.77-inch screen. Early speculations indicate that the Nexus 5X successor will arrive with a 5-inch screen and the Nexus 6P successor will be sporting a 5.5-inch display.

The HTC One A9, HTC One M9 and HTC One M8 are some of the recent products from the Taiwanese giant that have met with positive reception from the users. However, the sales of its smartphones are consistently dwindling and the brand is losing its popularity. Its partnership with Google in building the Nexus 2016 smartphones can help in increasing the popularity of the brand.

Speculations are rife that Google is also working on a Nexus 7 2016 tablet. Huawei that has manufactured the Nexus 6P smartphone is expected to build the Nexus 7 2016 tablet.
