The Google Stadia head has recently confirmed that they’ll offer the same price of games that they’ll have on the game streaming platform. Google is confident that the Stadia will be able to compete with the existing consoles and online game stores currently out in the market.

According to Google Stadia head Phil Harrison, the online game streaming service will offer the same price of games as it is on other platforms. “I don’t know why it would be cheaper,” Harrison said in an interview with Eurogamer.

So far, the Google Stadia will be offered with a subscription fee on its first release this late 2019 and will be available for free in 2020. Users will be able to see its library of games and purchase it on the platform. Along with its online store functions, Stadia also boasts its capability to play these games as long as there’s an available screen for it.

Harrison continues that the main advantage of Stadia is that players won’t have to invest on PC rigs and physical consoles to play games. “In theory, the Stadia version of a game is going to be at the highest-possible quality of innovation and sophistication on the game engine side.” said Harrison. In a way, Stadia sports the “digital portability” of their games which allows its users to play games as long as they have access to internet.

Since the Stadia’s announcement, Google has been confident in pushing out its Stadia platform. While the company is proud of its achievement of pushing out an online video game streaming platform, many consumers are still skeptical on how this system will work.

Many gamers throughout the world have an idea of how fickle internet connections can be when it comes to online features. Once connection lag starts to happen, the game’s experience could potentially be ruined.

In a way, Google is confident on their platform which relies on one of the most unreliable part of gaming alongside chance-based systems like “Random Number Generator(RNG)” rewards. For now, we’ll have to wait and see what the company is planning to do on its release this coming November.
