The adorably discontent Grumpy Cat will be taking her sour disposition straight to Tinseltown.

The Internet phenomenon -- and anti-happiness proponent -- is slated to star in a movie mirrored after another moody feline, reports USAToday.com.

Grumpy Cat's team of manager Ben Lashes and rep Al Hassas are pairing with the Broken Record production company "to produce and assemble a package for a Garfield-like feature film" based around the famous sourpuss, reports Deadline.com.

But the feline, whose real name is Tardar Sauce, won't be confined to facial expressions in the film. She will speak in the movie as well, providing a new outlet to express her constant dissatisfaction.

Broken Road's Todd Garner is excited about bringing the catty character to the big screen.

“This started off as a picture of a cat, but rare is an image that evokes that much comedy,” Garner said. “You read all of the memes and the comments, and one is funnier than the next. We think we can build a big family comedy around this character.”

Named the most influential cat of the year by MSNBC in 2012, Grumpy Cat has prospered by never smiling. She has more than 930,000 likes on her Facebook page and more than 120,000 subscribers on YouTube. She was also the winner of the 2013 Meme of the Year gong at the Webby Awards this year and has made numerous talk show appearances.

A seasoned actor and model -- obviously she has perfected the model pout -- Grumpy Cat also stars in webisodes in partnership with Friskies and the "Will Kitty Play With It" series.

The film will be written by Mark Steilen, and funny men Will Ferrell and Jack Black have been cast as two of the lead characters.
