Rockstar Games released “GTA V” in 2013 and fans have been talking about “GTA 6” because the next series iteration is long overdue. This is the longest time that Rockstar Games have gone without releasing a new game in the popular video game series. Interestingly, a new leak surfaced on Reddit revealing details about the much-awaited series installment including the announcement date.

Reddit user named Temperaturerising 45 shared on the site a post titled Throwaway for Obvious Reasons. The post reveals a plethora of details about “GTA 6” including information about the game setting and gameplay. The next series iteration reportedly will be set in San Fierro, which is Rockstar Games’ version of San Francisco, and Las Venturas, the game’s version of Las Vegas.

In addition to the location, the post also claims that landmarks will be featured in “GTA 6.” This includes the Hoover Dam and surprisingly, the popular Area 51. Moreover, the Reddit user reveals that instead of the three male protagonists that starred in the previous installment, “GTA 6” will star two main protagonists-- a male and a female main character.

These characters will have different storylines, and some of them might overlap in between. “GTA 6” will also get some inspiration from its popular cowboy-themed game, “Red Dead Redemption 2” in terms of mini-games. Allegedly, there will be more wildlife and animals in the upcoming series iteration, and specific areas will be designated for mini-games with hunting themes.

More building will also be featured in “GTA 6” according to the Reddit user. Players will enjoy getting into more restaurants, malls, and coffee shops. However, some houses and buildings still not accessible according to the post. There will be two types of weapon sellers, namely Ammunition and an underground weapon shop.

In addition, the post claims that “GTA 6” will be announced in Fall of 2020. While the details are interesting, it is worth noting that the Reddit user does not reveal its source, so there is no way that we could verify the veracity of his claims. Like all other claims, treat this with a spoonful of salt and with skepticism.

Rockstar Games has not yet revealed any official information related to “GTA 6.”
