With America still recovering from the news that “The Voice” co-stars Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have started dating just months after their respective high-profile divorces, one mutual friend and co-star is ready to stop keeping secrets. Carson Daly, who hosts the NBC singing competition, finally shared his thoughts on the recent coupling.

According to E! News, Daly was previously asked by his fellow “Today Show” co-hosts about Stefani and Shelton after rumors of their relationship cropped up earlier this season. However, Daly remained tight-lipped about the whole thing. Now that the musical duo has decided to go public with their relationship, the 42-year-old host was free to share his thoughts on the matter and explain why wasn’t surprised by the news.

Daly says that the couple didn’t exactly tell him before they told the rest of the world, but he had a distinct feeling that something was going on. Still, he claims that when he dodged the questions in the past, it was because he really didn’t know if anything was going on between them.

“I didn’t think Blake could get a girl as hot as Gwen, to be honest,” he joked on TODAY. “He’s a goofy cowboy. She’s the queen of cool. But, God bless them. They’re two of the nicest people in the business. We’re thrilled that they’re finding each other. Good luck, we love you.”

Although Daly claims to not know what was going on for sure, he confessed that he’s not shocked by any means. “The Voice” host saw the pictures from Halloween (via Us Weekly) that showed Shelton with his arms wrapped around Stefani at Adam Levine’s party. He said that the writing was pretty much on the wall that a relationship announcement was not too far away.

While the Blake-Gwen romance doesn’t appear to have caused animosity amongst “The Voice” staff, it is unknown how Shelton’s ex-wife is taking the news. Shelton and fellow country singer Miranda Lambert were together for four years before calling it quits in July. A rep for Shelton confirmed the singer's new relationship just hours before Lambert received her sixth consecutive Female Artist of the Year award at the 2015 CMA Awards on Wednesday. While Entertainment Tonight notes she posted some questionable song lyrics hinting that she’s less-than-thrilled with Shelton moving on so quickly, most of her social media presence in the last few days has had to do with her award achievement, not news about her divorce.
