Halsey's seemingly fit physique in their recent “Saturday Night Live (SNL)” appearance on Oct. 9 heaped praises from fans but the singer quickly dispelled notions of perfection as they spoke candidly about how their body has changed due to pregnancy and childbirth.

On Monday, the 27-year-old singer took to Instagram and shared pictures of their postpartum body and remarked how “weird” it was for people to praise their look for SNL. Halsey reminded fans that their body is still recovering after giving birth to their son, Ender Ridley in July.

Halsey posted a series of photos of themself including a photo of their extended stomach just a few days after childbirth and other postpartum photos including one showing the stretch marks on their belly.

"I did SNL two nights ago and a lot of people were quick to say how good I looked. That was a weird feeling," the "Without Me" singer began their lengthy message. "My body has felt like a stranger’s for a long time. I uphold myself to honesty to the point of oversharing sometimes but this feels important."

"The first picture on this slide is days after my baby was already born. A lot of people don’t know that you still look pregnant for a while after. It is still changing and I am letting it. I have no interest in working out right now. I’m too tired and too busy playing with my darling son," they continued.

The singer revealed that for "SNL," they wore a custom-made outfit with the perfect lighting after a lot of testing "so I could feel good and do my job."

"I do not want to feed the Illusion that you’re meant to feel and look 'great' immediately postpartum. That is not my narrative currently," they added.

In their Instagram post, the "Bad At Love" musician also sided with parents who are dealing with body issues after giving birth.

"If you’ve been following me because you’re also a parent and you dig what I’m doing, please know I’m in your corner. I will never have my 'pre baby body back' no matter how it changes physically because I have now had a baby! And that has altered me forever; emotionally, spiritually, and physically," they wrote.

The first-time mom concluded the post by saying, "That change is permanent. And I don’t want to go back! But In the spirit of honesty, I’m really tired and not a superhuman and this is really hard. Doing my best to serve my art and my family whilst keeping it all so very real."

Halsey’s post fetched over 2 million likes from fans who agreed with their sentiment.
