Matthew Hutchins, the husband of "Rust" cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, is infuriated that Alex Baldwin, the film's star and producer, keeps denying responsibility for the death of his wife after the fatal on-set shooting.

In a preview for Hoda Kotb’s “Today” show interview with Matthew which airs Thursday, the latter said watching Baldwin on TV made him angry.

“Watching him, I just felt so angry,” he said. “I was just so angry to see him talk about her death so publicly in such a detailed way and then to not accept any responsibility after having just described killing her,” he added.

Matthew was referring to Baldwin’s recent sit-down interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC in which the “Rust” actor denied any responsibility for the fatal shooting of Halyna on the set of his movie. During the interview, Baldwin said “someone is responsible for what happened” to the late cinematographer but “it’s not me.”

According to Halyna’s widower, he finds Baldwin’s refusal to hold himself accountable for his wife’s death “absurd.”

“There were a number of industry standards that were not practiced, and there’s multiple responsible parties. The idea that the person holding the gun and causing it to discharge is not responsible is absurd to me,” he said.

Baldwin accidentally shot Halyna to death during a camera test at the Bonanza Creek Ranch set of “Rust” in New Mexico in October. Since the incident, Baldwin has repeatedly claimed it was an accident and that he did not deliberately kill Halyna. Following the incident, a source told People that Baldwin had breakfast with Matthew in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the latter appreciated that Baldwin was being “very supportive” with the investigation.

Earlier this month, however, Matthew filed a complaint claiming the actor “recklessly shot and killed” his wife. Also filed by Halyna’s estate, the complaint states that “Baldwin and the other defendants in this case failed to perform industry standard safety checks and follow basic gun safety rules while using real guns to produce the movie ‘Rust,’ with fatal consequences.”

The complaint also states that the lawsuit seeks “justice for the losses of her survivors and hold responsible those who caused her tragic death,” including Baldwin.
