Popular Japanese actor Haruma Miura was found dead at his home in Tokyo on Saturday, July 18, in what is suspected to be a case of suicide.

The 30-year-old heartthrob of fans, known for movies such as “Koizora” and "Attack on Titan,” was supposed to attend a meeting Saturday, media reports said. When he did not turn up, one of the people he was to meet arrived at his home around 1 p.m. local time (12 a.m. EDT) and found him unresponsive. Miura was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department of Tokyo believe it to be a case of suicide. The Japan Times reported that a suicide note was found at his residence. However, the reason behind Muira's taking his life is not known.

Miura's sudden demise has left his fans and colleagues heart-broken. Several of them took to social media to mourn his death.

“RIP Mr. Haruma Miura. It was a pleasure to work with you . We will remember you. Thank you for the memory you gave us ,” director Jimmy Ming Shum posted.

The news comes two weeks after Billboard announced that the award-winning actor-singer, whose first single was released in last year, was set to drop his second single in August. The single, titled "Night Diver,” was set to release on Aug. 26.
