‘A Holiday In Harlem’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis

Hallmark Channel’s merry holiday season continues with the newest “Countdown to Christmas” holiday premiere, “A Holiday in Harlem.” The film, starring Olivia Washington and Will Adams, premieres Sunday night.

The film is set to be a special treat for Hallmark fans, as they are getting their first introductions to the film’s main two stars. Adams is a true newbie on the scene, with only one previous credit to his name as Grip on an episode of “The Oval,” which will make for a fun experience as fans get to see him in his first bigger project.

As for Washington, she is also a new face to Hallmark, though she is from a family consisting of Hollywood royalty. She is the daughter of Academy Award winner Denzel Washington and his wife, fellow actor Pauletta Washington. She is also related to actor John David Washington, as well as producer Katia Washington and producer/director Malcolm Washington.

As for her previous work, while new to Hallmark, she has previously held roles on “Madoff,” as well as “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” and “Robin Roberts Presents: Mahalia.”

Tina Lifford (“Cherished Memories: A Gift to Remember 2”, “A Gift For Christmas”) also stars.

“After her grandmother, Mama Belle 9Lifford), turns away her usual gift delivery, expecting ‘presence over presents,’ jet-setting executive Jazmin (Washington) heads uptown to Harlem for a quick visit,” a synopsis reads. “However, when Mama Belle is injured, Jazmin agrees to stay in the neighborhood and take over co-chairing their block’s annual Christmas Jamboree with her old best friend, Caleb (Adams).”

However, Jazmin gets something unexpected when she not only realizes the job isn’t quite what she expects, but she finds herself being affected in other ways by her new project.

“A successful corporate fixer, Jazmin expects the job to be easy but quickly finds that she has a lot to learn about the community and her heart,” the synopsis says.

“A Holiday in Harlem” airs Sunday, Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
