Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have made no effort to communicate with each other after announcing their divorce last year. The exes are said to be not on speaking terms despite claiming that they parted ways “amicably.”

A source exclusively disclosed to Us Weekly on Thursday that the “Friends” alum and the “Leftovers” actor have completely cut off all communication, for they have already moved on with their lives.

“It was a clean break and they have gone back to their pre-married lives,” the source said. “Jen and Justin have gone their separate ways and really closed that chapter of their lives.”

“They don’t have contact or a relationship,” the source revealed.

Part of the reason why they also don’t keep in touch is the fact that they chose to be away from each other. Theroux moved back to New York City since announcing their breakup while Aniston opted to stay in Los Angeles.

The insider said that both Hollywood stars are very happy with their separate lives. They may not have moved on to new relationships, but they are content with having their friends around and the support of their loved ones.

When Aniston and Theroux, who got married in August 2015, announced their divorce in February 2018, they maintained that their decision to go separate ways in late 2017 was “mutual.”

“We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship,” the former husband and wife said in a joint statement to People. “This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year.”

Following their announcement, the exes were plagued by tabloid reports claiming that they were actually in an all-out legal war because Theroux is said to be interested in his ex-wife’s $200 million fortune.

However, such stories were outrightly slammed by Aniston’s rep who maintained to Gossip Cop that the two actors were in no way engaging in a divorce battle.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt’s ex is close to celebrating a big milestone in her life. She’s turning 50 next Monday, Feb. 11. There’s no word yet on how she’s planning to celebrate her special day. However, Ellen DeGeneres previously joked that she could throw a party for Aniston on her talk show for the latter’s birthday.

“I’m doing a party for you, on this show,” DeGeneres said during the actress’ guest appearance last December. “What if we have your birthday here, for the whole hour, we celebrate you … for the whole hour?”
