Guinness’s Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore will ring in New Year's Day with a new beer offering that won’t be unveiled until New Year’s Eve.

The beer maker announced the mystery beer offering in an Instagram post, saying the brew will be available starting on Thursday to take home through curbside pickup or in its retail store.

The brewery will also be counting down to midnight the Dublin way. New Year’s will be celebrated at the brewery at 7 p.m. EST, when it is midnight in Ireland, with the special beer and a complimentary toast to cheer in 2021.

In its Instagram post, the Guinness Open Gate Brewery said, “2020 is almost over, and we can’t wait to celebrate! To mark the occasion, we’re releasing a new mystery beer on New Year’s Eve.”

The Open Gate Brewery will also only be open until 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve as part of its holiday schedule, reopening the following day at 10 a.m. for brunch.

While the new beer from Guinness remains a mystery, the brewer did release a nonalcoholic beer with the Guinness 0.0 in September. The beer was said to have the same taste, flavor, and color as traditional Guinness but minus the alcohol content.
