Kate Middleton and Princess Diana have always been compared to each other. But it has now been revealed that there’s a key difference between the two royals.

Anna Kretschmer, a journalist for Express, said that unlike Princess Diana who had a close relationship with Sarah Ferguson, Middleton has not developed a closer bond with Meghan Markle.

Princess Diana and Fergie joined the royal family just a few years apart from each other. They became sisters-in-law because they were married to royal siblings Prince Charles and Prince Andrew, respectively.

Middleton wed Prince William in 2011, and Markle tied the knot with Prince Harry last year. The Duchesses also have a similar relationship with Princess Diana and Ferguson in their legal documents but they are not considered to be friends.

In the book “Sarah: HRH The Duchess of York,” royal biographer Ingrid Seward said that Princess Diana and Ferguson were key supports for each other. In fact, the Duchess of York only felt at ease with the Princess of Wales.

“They are both in the same position so they can talk to each other about things they wouldn’t mention to anyone else,” Ferguson’s friend said.

Unfortunately for Middleton and Markle, they don’t seem to be supporting each other. In fact, the two female royals are always being pitted against each other. There are also ongoing rumors suggesting that they are feuding.

But royal expert Carolyn Durand recently told Hello! magazine that Prince William and Prince Harry’s wives may have already put an end to their rift.

“Kate was a great source of support for Meghan in the days leading up to Archie’s birth and despite reports of a rift, they are a family and have a really lovely friendship. Their relationship has constantly evolved over time and they have become closer since Meghan’s wedding,” she said.

As of late, Middleton and Markle have never confirmed or denied the reports of their alleged feud.
