Prince Charles reportedly wants to change things up when he becomes King.

According to Lord Carey, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Prince Charles wants to set new ground once he becomes the Head of the Church of England.

During his conversation with royal author Robert Jobson, the latter echoed Carey’s statement. He said that it is evident that the Prince of Wales wants to do his job a little differently.

Carey responds by saying that Prince Charles wants to chart new territory, which will be interesting. And the heir to the throne is also very outspoken.

Meanwhile, Jobson praised Prince William and Prince Harry’s dad for cultivating various religions so that he could have a more balanced understanding of different faiths across the globe.

“During his visits around the country, he makes sure he is balanced, visiting Sikh, Muslim, Hindu and Christian communities. He has studied the Koran in-depth and has been a student of the Arabic language for years… He has also visited Judaism in-depth and is close to Jonathan Sacks, the former Chief Rabbi… He believes that both faiths have a ‘great deal in common’ with Christianity. ‘The future surely lies in rediscovering the universal truths that dwell at heart of these religions,’ he has said,” Jobson said.

As of late, it is still unclear when Prince Charles will be crowned as King. But by the looks of it, he wouldn’t have to wait much longer. Queen Elizabeth is already 93 years old, and even though she doesn’t have any plans to abdicate, she is slowly relieving some of her duties to her eldest son.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles also made headlines this week after it was reported that he tried to keep his family intact even after Princess Diana’s death. Even though he and the Princess of Wales were already divorced at the time of the late royal’s accident, Prince Charles still insisted on picking up his ex-wife’s body for the sake of their sons.
