Queen Elizabeth II’s final wish for the royal family after her death has finally been revealed.

Royal editor Tim Ewart told Yahoo’s “The Royal Box” that the Queen wants the Royal Family to continue appealing to the younger generations even in the years to come. And as early as now, this is something that Markle and Prince Harry have already been doing.

“The reality for the monarchy is that when the Queen dies, one of the reasons for the monarchy’s popularity will be gone. A large part of the popularity of the monarchy is based on the popularity of the Queen,” he said.

Ewart went on to say that it is still unclear if the popularity of the monarchy and the Royal Family will be passed on to Prince Charles when he becomes King. But there are suggestions that the future King is not as popular as Her Majesty.

As such, after the Queen dies, the monarchy might also lose its popularity. But since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have faced tons of struggles ever since they tied the knot, they are somewhat prepared for what the future is going to be like.

“When it was Diana, there were photographers, there were cameramen, people weren’t using smartphones. Now, every single person that a member of the royal family meets has a smartphone up… Every single word that is said, doesn’t matter where the TV cameras are, doesn’t matter where the snappers, the photographers, they can be anywhere… But every single person has got their phone up or their iPad up, nothing is private anymore,” he said.

Prince Harry and Markle tied the knot on May 19, 2018. Since then, the Queen has reportedly been very proud of them. In fact, Her Majesty shares a special relationship with the royal couple. After their son was born, she was one of the first few members of the British clan that visited Archie.
