The big night is almost here, and the teams competing on Season 27 of “Dancing With the Stars” are working hard to make sure they bring their best routines to the floor for the two-night special premiere, especially since by the time night two is over, one will be eliminated.

For the first time on the ABC dancing competition series, the teams were required to learn not one, but two different routines ahead of their first night of competition, which is set to take place over two nights. While it appears they are performing the same type of dance on both nights of competition, their routines will be to different songs and feature different choreography. Then, at the end of the second night of competition, one team will say goodbye.

Naturally, the pressure to not be the first team eliminated has led the teams to be hard at work as they try to impress with their new routines. Here’s how they spent the last few weeks rehearsing and hoping they’ll be able to impress:

Team WaresOurMirrorball

DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold seem set on proving that football players have what it takes to win the show once again. The pair has been working hard on their upcoming Cha Cha, with Lindsay taking to Instagram to show them rehearsing on the show’s stage.

Team Renten

If a post by Alan Bersten is any indication, Alexis Ren will be bringing a sweet routine to viewers. The two are set to perform a Jive, and his post shows the two dancing on what looks like a set in an ice cream shop.

Team BeautyandtheGeek

Bobby Bones certainly has excitement about being on the show, having posted several photos and videos of himself hard at work over the last few weeks. However, his nerves could affect his performance with Sharna Burgess as well—admitting in his most recent post that he got some butterflies about performing live.

Team Chernando

In a call to his fans for their votes, Juan Pablo di Pace showed himself having fun as he dipped his partner, Cheryl Burke. Meanwhile, his pro partner has also taken to social media several times to give fans a look at their upcoming Salsa, including a short glimpse of all the teams as they worked on their individual routines all week.

Team Witlo

While Witney Carson has been keeping more of what she’s working on with Milo Manheim secret, the Disney star has had no problem showing fans what he’s been working on, including in a post where he appears to be powerfully holding her during a tough move.

Team BlindFaith

Artem Chigvintsev and Danelle Umstead are certainly not letting her disability stand in their way when it comes to performing well this season. In one post, Artem saw to it that his partner felt praise for the hard work she’s put into her routines, reminding fans that she isn’t letting a visual impairment slow her down.

Team StickIt

Sasha Farber has worked with a gymnast before on the show, but he seems to be especially proud of Mary Lou Retton ahead of their first official dance together, praising the Olympian for her work ahead of the premiere.

Team CHECKusOUT

His previous experience may be in grocery stores, but Joe Amabile seems ready to take on the competition, showing off his footwork in one post to social media, and joking about how worried he was he wasn’t doing things right with partner Jenna Johnson in another.

Team Kevanna

Evanna Lynch may not need to use any of the spells she learned while filming Harry Potter to get good scores with the judges if a post to social media is an indication of how well she’s dancing.

TeamFiresandFlames

Tinashe and first-time pro Brandon Armstrong seem to be reaching for the stars when it comes to their first routine. In a post on Instagram, the dancer shared a photo of them rehearsing and both pointing towards the ceiling.

Team McVal (Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy), Team Glikki (Nikki Glaser and Gleb Savchenko) and Team SuperDuke (John Schneider and Emma Slater) all wound up not sharing any significant updates the last few days, so fans will just have to wait and see what they’ve cooked up.

“Dancing With the Stars” Season 27 premieres tonight at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC. Night two of the premiere continues Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT.
