Prince Harry has a strange family while Meghan Markle has a dysfunctional clan.

Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s explosive documentary aired and in it, the couple became emotional as they shared their struggles as royals and first-time parents. Interestingly, royal biographer Penny Junor told People that Prince Harry has a “strange family.”

“It is a strange family and not one that has supported one another very well,” Junor said. “They don’t praise one another and never call each other up just to say, ‘That was a great speech.’“

Meanwhile, royal expert Dickie Arbiter revealed earlier that the Duchess of Sussex has a “past and dysfunctional family.” This was among the reasons many did not approve of Markle for Prince Harry.

Markle’s half-sister Samantha and half-brother Thomas Markle Jr made several statements against her. Samantha lambasted the duchess calling her “shameful” and a “disgrace to the Markle family name.”

She also ridiculed Markle saying that she was shocked she did not catch fire when she walked into the church for Archie’s “faked” christening. She went on and likened the christening to the “Beauty and the Beast” saying that Archie was “beautiful” but the circumstances surrounding the event including Markle’s cold callousness and disregard to her own family was the “beast.”

Meanwhile, Markle’s half-brother accused Prince Harry’s wife of abusing their father’s love. According to Markle Jr., their dad had always put Markle first and above them. He said that it was very selfish and cruel for Markle because she was only giving their dad nothing but pain.

Due to Markle’s family background, Princess Diana’s friend Simone Simmons believed that her marriage with Prince Harry would not last. She felt that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s marriage might end similarly to that of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

“Even people with dysfunctional families are not as disassociated with hers [Markle]. Look at her past two relationships… They didn’t last much longer than two years… This will probably be no different,” Simmons said.
