Huawei is hosting a launch event in Berlin Sept. 1, where the Chinese manufacturer is expected to announce the Huawei Mate S2 smartphone. Recent leaks suggest the smartphone will resemble the Huawei-made Nexus 6P .

The press invite, which surfaced on the Chinese social media website Weibo on Wednesday, reads “Defy expectations.” Outside of leaked specs, there is no real indication of whether the Mate S2 will include any special features.

Rumored specs include a 5.9-inch Full HD display, 2.6GHz Kirin 960 processor with Mali T880 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, a 16-megapixel main camera and 8-megapixel front camera, a 3,500 mAh battery and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Following the Honor 8 U.S. launch last week, there is a good chance the Mate S2 will not be coming to this market.

Huawei announced the Mate S smartphone in Berlin in 2015. The device features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 2.2 GHz Kirin 935 chip with Mali-T628, 3GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage options, a 13-megapixel main camera and 8-megapixel front camera, a 2,700 mAh battery and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
