“Indian Jones 5” has been facing problems for some time now, but Steven Spielberg and his team appear to be committed to delivering the best film from the franchise. Lead cast member Harrison Ford shared some updates about the progress of the movie in a recent interview, and he promised the fans that they are going to deliver something unexpected.

Ford is currently promoting his new movie “The Call of the Wild,” and in an interview with HeyUGuys he shared some details about his next film as the famous archaeologist. The actor said that he doesn’t want to give the fans what they want with the new movie, and he instead wants to give the audience something that they are not anticipating.

Over the years there have been many reboots that have failed at the Box Office and they have disappointed the fans. Ford is aware of the problem, but he pointed out that Marvel has been able to deliver hit after hit thanks to the quality of their films. He said that he is also interested in making a quality movie and he wants “Indiana Jones 5” to be the best.

The fifth instalment was supposed to be released in 2019, Screen Rant reported. However, the project got delayed repeatedly because of issues like finding the right script. Ford said that they are having “scheduling issues” and they also have “a few script things to do,” but he sounded optimistic about the film.

Ford said that they are determined to “get it right” before starting production. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the veteran actor revealed that filming will begin by late summer.

“Indiana Jones 5” is scheduled to be released on July 9, 2021. So far, Ford is the only cast member of the project. Casting details may be announced in the coming months.
