  • The unit became a point of controversy during the "Free Britney" movement

Britney Spears' Florida condominium has hit the market for $2 million.

Should she get the full asking price, Britney will double her money. The "Baby One More Time" singer reportedly purchased the home for $920,000 in 2001, according to Realtor.com

Located at Regency Towers in Destin, the 3,648-square-foot penthouse has three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and over 3,600 square feet of living space.

The home takes up half of the 10th floor of the Regency Towers. Its expansive balcony boasts a 180-degree view of the Gulf.

The unit also comes with 10-foot ceilings, marble floors, a wood-burning fireplace, and a wet bar, with amenities such as a gym, pools and a game room to boot.

The primary bedroom comes with a desk nook and floor-to-ceiling windows. An en suite bath features a soaking tub and a separate shower, according to the listing.

The waterfront unit became a point of controversy during the "Free Britney" movement in 2021, while the Princess of Pop was still stuck in her conservatorship.

During that time, Britney's sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, claimed that she had received no financial support from her sister. But fans cited a 2015 tweet where she claimed that the Florida condo was jointly owned and proved otherwise. "We have a condo is [sic] Destin, Florida, and it's the best getaway," she tweeted in 2015.

Jamie Lynn later posted that she owned no such residence after her tweet led critics to call her out for apparently claiming to be a part owner of the condo. "I don't own a condo, and I can assure you that no one has ever bought me a place at the beach, because I prefer my beach vacations at the Ritz anyway. Simple FACTS. Y'all need to stop reachin'," she wrote.

Britney has some properties on the West Coast as well. She recently tied the knot with Sam Asghari at her Thousand Oaks estate, which she purchased in 2015 for $7.4 million.

The five-bedroom estate comes with a tennis court, a three-hole golf course, an infinity pool and a spa.

The "Toxic" singer also owns a mansion in Calabasas, California, which she bought for $11.8 million.

The 11,650-square-foot home has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms with amenities, including a gym, a home theater and a wet bar.
