KEY POINTS

  • Ivana Trump's Upper East Side home in New York is being sold in the market for $26.5 million
  • The opulent and palatial home is listed under real estate agencies Modlin Group and Douglas Elliman
  • Ivana and Donald Trump's three children are looking to sell the estate and split the earnings among them

Ivana Trump's Upper East Side home in Manhattan, New York, now sells for a whopping $26.5 million.

Four months after former President Donald Trump's ex-wife's accidental death at the age of 73, the property has been listed on the market with Modlin Group's agent Adam Molin and Douglas Elliman Real Estate's agent Roger Rickson, the Independent reported.

The home, described by Ivana's youngest son Eric as a reflection of his mother's "style and elegance," is decorated with palatial interiors and lavish furnishings, inspired by the 1980s when opulence and gold-plating were the trends.

Sitting on East 64th Street between Fifth and Madison, Ivana's estate welcomed guests with an entrance hall filled with limestone columns and "one-of-a-kind" black and old grilled doors, accentuating the bright red carpets and Italian crystal chandelier. It also featured a curved marble staircase and a birdcage elevator.

The living room located on the second floor featured a gold-embossed marble fireplace, ornate crown moldings, a crystal chandelier and dark green soft furnishings with red and gold accents.

Meanwhile, the Versailles-inspired dining room could accommodate more guests since it already includes a 10-seater dining table paired with golden yellow chairs. The room was designed with a gold aesthetic, having a gilded ceiling and accent walls covered in the same hue.

One of the dining room's best features is a floor-to-ceiling window that overlooked the interior of the private courtyard. The fully equipped main kitchen, however, is kept hidden at the side of the dining room.

The estate, which has an 8,725 square-foot interior, has five bedrooms, with the master bedroom being the largest but the least pretentious one. The interiors are designed with hues of cream white, sage green and pale pink, which has a softer and simpler look compared to the other rooms in the townhouse.

The master bedroom features a fireplace, a four-poster bed, another crystal chandelier, a restored mural and a private terrace. Three other bedrooms are located on the third floor, while the largest guest bedroom with an ensuite bathroom could be found on the top floor.

Ivana seemed to take it down a notch on the opulent-themed design for her bathrooms, including the master bedroom's ensuite bathroom, which was entirely made with pink marble and has an oversized "soaking tub." Ivana's former home also has four other bathrooms.

According to Modlin Group's listing, other features of the lavish estate include a media room on the first floor, a garden, a huge basement with a contemporary Swedish sauna, a laundry room, ample storage space and a Leopard print-themed office.

Ivana's five-story NYC townhouse was reportedly purchased for $2.5 million in 1992, the same year Ivana and Donald officially divorced. It was the home where the former continued to live until her death. Their three children, Eric, 38, Ivanka, 41, and Donald Jr., 44, plan to sell the home and split the money among them, the Independent noted, citing multiple reports.
