After speculation about Irina Shayk having undergone plastic surgery surfaced online, the model addressed the rumors in a recent interview. She spoke about the imperfections of her body and how one should embrace the changes that come with ageing.

In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, Shayk said that she promotes “natural beauty” because people in the world looking to be “perfect.” For the model “perfection” doesn’t exist, and she personally has imperfections that she has learnt to live with.

As for plastic surgery, Shayk said that there are people in the world who inject their lips to make them look plump because they are not happy with what they have. Shayk doesn’t judge these people, and she promotes natural beauty.

Shayk pointed out that she too is not perfect. “Sometimes I have a double chin,” she said.

Another fact that she and everyone else have to face is aging, and the model is open about the changes that come with age.

The first visible signs of ageing are wrinkles. Shayk said that she already has wrinkles, which will get worse every year. “You just have to accept the idea of aging and of bodies at every stage, and just celebrate it,” she said.

Shayk explained that people have to understand that not being perfect is a human process, and everyone should accept it. As far as rumors about her using plastic surgery to make her lips look plum are concerned, the model said that she laughs after reading such headlines. She added that in life one should have a sense of humor.

Last month Shayk and Bradley Cooper split after being in a relationship for four years. The model did not comment on the split in her interview. Her agent previously told Harpers Bazaar that she has not commented on her personal life in the past and that she will not comment on the split now either.

Meanwhile, Cooper was spotted enjoying lunch with Laura Dern in New York City recently, People reported. The actor and his ex Shayk have so far not been linked to anyone else after their split.
