Jada Pinkett Smith, who previously revealed that the Smith family has been focusing on deep healing following the Oscars incident, is now hoping that her husband Will Smith and comedian Chris Rock will reconcile.

"Now, about Oscars night: My deepest hope is that these two intelligent capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out, and reconcile," Jada said on the Wednesday episode of her Facebook Watch show, "Red Table Talk."

The 50-year-old actress went on to address the current state of the world, noting that it needs both these men. She went on to share that until they both reconcile, she and her husband are focused on figuring out life together.

"With the state of the world today, we need them both—and we all actually need one another more than ever," Jada added. "Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that's keep figuring out this thing called life together."

Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage at the 2022 Oscars after the comedian cracked a joke about his wife, suggesting she looks like "G.I. Jane" because of her bald look. "Keep my wife’s name out of your f--king mouth!" Will yelled at Chris after slapping him and returning to his seat.

The fifth season of "Red Table Talk" began in April. Ahead of the show, it was announced that the entire episode was recorded before the slapping incident took place and that the family was focused on deep healing.

"Considering all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focused on deep healing," the title cards read. "Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at the table when the time calls. Until then the table will continue offering itself to powerful, inspiring and healing testimonies like that of our incredibly impressive first guest."

The talk show is hosted by Jada, her daughter, Willow, and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, on Facebook Watch since 2018.

Following the slapping incident, Will apologized to the Academy and also wrote an apology on Instagram. Many celebs reacted to the incident, including comedian Kathy Griffin.
