The original stars of the beloved '90s series "Power Rangers" have paid tribute to fellow cast member Jason David Frank who died Sunday. He was 49.

Frank, who played the feisty group leader and Green Ranger Tommy Oliver before becoming a professional mixed martial arts fighter, died in Texas, his representative Justine Hunt told TMZ. The exact cause of death was not revealed as his family appealed for privacy.

Walter Jones, who played the Black Ranger in the show, called Frank "an inspiration" to many fans.

"He was an inspiration to so many people. His presence will be dearly missed. It's so sad to lose another member of our Ranger family," Jones told TMZ. "Jason was one of the biggest pranksters on the show. He had a wild sense of humor. We had our shares of ups and downs but I stayed consistent about being an ear if he needed one. My prayers go out to his family and all that will miss him."

Jones also took to his Instagram page and shared an old photo of him and Frank, along with fellow cast members Austin St. John (Red Ranger) and David Yost (Blue Ranger), at the Los Angeles premiere of the 2017 film "Power Rangers." The movie also had "Aladdin" actress Naomi Scott and singer Becky G.

"Can't believe it.... RIP Jason David Frank," Jones wrote in the caption. "My heart is sad to have lost another member of our special family."

Amy Jo Johnson, who played Pink Ranger Kimberly Hart, shared a selfie with Frank from what appeared to be a fan event and wrote, "Jase, you were beautiful and truly unique. My life just won't be the same without your frenetic, hilarious, caring, driven and creative ball of energy. I will always love you, dear friend. Please Rest now In Peace."

Johnson and Frank attended several fan conventions in recent years. The last time they were together at such an event was in 2019 when they were part of the "Morphin' Time With Power Rangers" panel at the Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con, E! News reported.

St. John uploaded a picture taken from the premiere of "Power Rangers" in 2017 and wrote, "Once a ranger, always a ranger" thoughts and prayers... #RIP #prayers."

Another "Power Rangers" member, "Yellow Ranger" Thuy Trang, died in a car accident in 2001. He was 27 at the time.
